Back on the Cross Bike

I’m probably not going to get out for a ride tomorrow since it’s my long day at work, so I squeezed in a bit of a ride before it got too dark. Temps got up to about 40 today, so just about all of the snow and slush left in the roads after this weekend melted away.
I pulled out the cyclocross bike for the first time since November and headed out. Temps fell about ten degrees and the wind picked up a but as well. I got in a few good chunks of zone 3/4 work, but with the wind constantly shifting, it was hard to get in a rhythm.

I’ve been struggling quite a bit with the fit of the ‘cross bike, so I’m hoping to setup a professional fitting sometime early this spring. I had quite a bit of lower back pain last cross season, and I’m beginning to suspect my top tube is a bit too long for me. Any suggestions on experienced fitters, specifically for ‘cross, in the Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago areas? I hear Wheel and Sprocket has a brand new fitting center – looks pretty nice!
