During our second full day in San Francisco, we woke up a bit earlier to head to the Muir Woods. On the way we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge. Muir Woods was a great sight to see with the magnificent redwoods there and the walking trails next to a creek.

After seeing the redwoods, we traveled back to San Francisco across the Golden Gate and headed to Aperto Restaurant. It’s a small, Italian cafe where we had some of the best tasting sandwiches. The afternoon found us at the Anchor Brewing Company for a tour and beer tasting. We learned a lot about the unique brewing process that Anchor uses to make it’s tasty selection of brews.

For dinner, we headed to Chinatown. We ate at R&G Lounge for an authentic Chinese meal. This restaurant provided us with the best Chinese food that we ever had. Another great culinary experience to add to our San Francisco travels.

We finished up the night with free pool and an Anchor Steam beer at a local pub (formerly known as International Sports Club).
