My brother works 3rd shift and sleeps during the day, so it’s rare for me to be able to catch him on the phone.  Instead of calling during the day and risk waking him up, I use this handy free service to skip directly to his voicemail.

The convenience factor of SlyDial is HUGE for me, but there are a few drawbacks you should be aware of:

1.  In the SlyDial voice prompts, you are required to listen to a quick advertisement in order to keep the service free.

2.  After connecting to SlyDial, you must MANUALLY enter the number of the person you’re calling, so this means you need to know the phone number, or copy it from your phone contacts before calling SlyDial.
